Butler, scientifique et artiste, vient en France en 1885 et y restera deux ans. Influencé par " la
vague " de Harrison, il réalise " Les ramasseurs du varechs ".
l'œuvre recevra une mention honorable au salon ainsi que
" le Temple Marine and Lanscpe Medal " de la Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts en 1888.
Butler fut un grand voyageur.
Butler, scientist and artist, comes to France in 1885 and will remain two years
there. Influenced by “ the wave ” of Harrison, it produces “ the
pick-ups of the kelps ”. work will receive a honourable mention with the living room like “the
Temple Marine and Lanscpe Medal” of Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1888. Butler was
a large traveller.
